The Perfect Travel Kit

Great photos while traveling are important! The places we go, the activities we do, the people we meet and the friends we travel with are important subjects. Our story is important as well. We want to record the memories and we need to capture amazing photos to make our friends jealous.

My travels since 2018 have been awesome, the photos have been the best ever. The camera and lens kit for travel is finally evolved into just what I need! Perfect for a day at Disneyland, a weekend in San Francisco, a photo workshop in Cuba or a photo adventure to Tuscany the kit has given me the ability to capture 99% of the photos I desire.

What’s in this amazing kit?

1. Mirrorless Full Frame camera. A modern mirrorless camera kit made my bag nearly one-third lighter. The live-viewfinder technology means I never missing an exposure. The high-ISO and Vibration-Reduction technology makes interior and low-light photography simple. Mark’s camera is NIKON Z7ii.

2. Normal Zoom Lens. The 24-70mm lens is the workhorse on travel. It’s always on the camera and often the only lens I’ll take while street-walking or hiking. 24mm offers a significant wide-angle for interiors and scenery. 70mm telephotos id great for people and details. Mark’s normal lens is Nikon z 24-70mm 2.8s

3. Telephoto Zoom Lens. Getting a little farther back a is important while on the road for people, details and scenic photos. Reaching out and compressing the scene at 200mm is a trick travel pros have used for decades. Mark’s telephoto lens of choice is the NIKON z 70-200mm 2.8s

4. Wide Angle Zoom Lens. Broad vistas and impressive interiors call for a Wide Angle lens. Taking in 90, 100 or 110 degrees an ultra-wide lens provides a dynamic and unique perspective and captures a view that feels like what your eye sees. Mark’s preferred Wide angle lens is NIKON z 14-30mm 4s.

5. Photo Backpack. A photo backpack is safe, secure and easy to carry. Walking Main Street USA, the Via del Corso in Rome or the Malecon in Havana its important to be “hands free” with your camera and ready to make pictures at a moment’s notice. The Think Tank Street Walker Pro v2 is the ideal bag. On CPA Adventures you’ll see a great number of students sporting the street walker proudly!

Many of you will have your favorite Travel Kit. Some will include a one-lens option like a 24-105mm, 24-200mm or 28-300mm type lens. Others will opt for a 100-400 in lieu of the 70-200.

At PAUL’S PHOTO we know it’s your wallet and your back. We don’t want to break either!
