Mark Comon's Book Suggestions

Books can help us in many ways, some inspire us with the wonderful photography, others are useful in our understanding of our equipment and yet other books bring us to an understanding of useful techniques. All of these books are helpful in some form or fashion. We encourage you to explore the books, learn from them but most of all we urge you to go out and experience the joy and satisfaction of recording your own images.

Click on any of the books to recieve more information. Many of the books are available here at Paul's Photo look at our online inventory.

Paul Comon’s latest book is crammed full of his images and decades of knowledge. Improving one’s ability to create better images is a never ending challenge; the novice and the experienced lensman are on an equal footing in this respect. Anyone who reads this book will increase his/her compositional skills. This fund of knowledge comes with an unconditional guarantee; anyone who reads it can return it for a full refund if they do not learn at least one useful bit of data from it. Here are a few comments in Paul’s own words: “I have spent an enjoyable lifetime devoted to photography. Regardless of my other photographic endeavors, (retailing, teaching, collecting, and lecturing), my passion has been photographing. Creating quality images is dependent upon a firm knowledge of composition and many of my earliest pursuits were directed on those lines. My first formal training in composition came in the way of college classes in the early 1950’s. Much of my later knowledge has been self taught. Reading and conversing have taught me many things, but looking at photographs, and the learning experiences of early mistakes have been my most valuable assets. I have written DIGITAL PHOTO DESIGN with the hope of shortening the careful reader’s learning curve.”
