 Nocturnal Creativity
Creative photography after dark is a mystery to many. We’ve figured it out! Learn how to photograph stars moving romantically in the sky. See how to creatively build a scene and ad lighting for fun. You’ll make picture that are truly stellar! Join the Space Cowboys to learn the secrets of “how to” and enjoy a night of fun creative “after dark” photography.
“How To” Class Friday, March 16, 2012. 7-9pm
Learn the equipment requirements, proven tips and useful techniques needed to make amazing nocturnal creations. We’ll go over “what you need,” “how to work it” and set up the perfect shot. Star trails require a choice of “very long exposures” or “sandwiching many long exposures” to create stunning swirl of stars. Light painting requires a digital SLR camera with “bulb” setting, sturdy tripod, lockable remote release and a spark of imagination. Bring your camera, tripod and remote to learn “what to do” and practice for the field shoot or plan a picture of your own.
“Shoot it” Field Trip to Joshua Tree Thurs, Mar 22. 3pm-3am $149 (includes "How To")
Pack your camera bag and sense of adventure for a long evening of photography in Joshua Tree. It’s a perfect location for Star Trails, Light Painting and nocturnal photo fun. The Space Cowboys will be on hand to point you in the right direction and help you! Arrive in the afternoon to scout and plan your shots, or arrive earlier to shoot some beautiful Joshua Tree landscapes. We’ll start right after dark and shoot until the wee hours. You can camp out, sleep in the car, drive to a nearby hotel or come home. We’ll have a campsite reserved at our “perfect shooting spot.” You’ll get full details after you register. It will be loads of fun and make some truly spectacular photos.
