Creative Travel Photography explores how to create fine art travel photography- images that go far beyond the “I was here” photograph. Photographers will learn how to create beautiful landscapes and townscapes, as well as powerful environmental portraits and photo essays- pictures that tell a story. Participants will learn how to approach newspapers and magazines with travel story ideas and how to bring individual projects into fruition. Open to all levels of photographers with an interest in travel photography. Includes instruction, field trip and critique.

How the Pro’s get those amazing looking portraits in the natural world that just look so beautiful? It’s easy when you understand how to control the light. Can I get pictures like that simply? Yes you can! Our Outdoor Portrait Workshop will teach you the secrets to getting great looking photos with classroom instruction teaching you the “what and why” of outdoor portraits. Our hands on shooting session will teach you the “how” and have you capturing your own amazing photos by the end of the day. You will learn to use, control and create light with precision. You will gain experience handling your self, your camera and your subject with the guidance of the workshop staff.
The Outdoor Portrait Workshop will be led by Mark Comon from Paul’s Photo, Shelton Muller, renowned Australian photographer and editor of Australia’s largest photo magazine and Glynn Lavender from Creative Photo Workshops, Australia’s leader in photo instruction. Join us for an amazing day of learning photography and capturing amazing images and see how the folks from Down Under tackle tough lighting situations and produce great photos.
