Downtown Los Angeles
Thursday, August 15, 2013 - 7pm to 10pm $70
Have you ever wanted to shoot city lights after dark? Don’t know where to go or who to go with? Join us for our City Lights Field Trip where fun and photography go hand in hand. Not a class, but an opportunity to photograph low light with the guidance of Paul’s instructors and the camaraderie of the group. If you need help be sure to ride the bus where we will spend the drive-time discussing camera operations and technique.
Downtown Los Angeles offers amazing night scenes and photo opportunities. We’ll shoot Disney Hall, the bridges east of downtown, the city skyline and traffic coursing the Harbor Freeway, and more! You’ll learn to plan your exposure time to create movement and use your lenses to frame the scene creatively. Use the opportunity to practice your low-light and tripod techniques. Pack up your camera and sense of adventure!
You may meet us at Philippe’s Original (7:00pm) or choose to take the “party bus” departing Paul’s Photo at 6pm. The evening includes a stop at the Pantry for dessert. We’ll be home around midnight so be sure to rest up and be ready to have some fun!
What do I bring? Camera, lenses, tripod, & a smile.
What do I do to shoot city lights? We’ll help you learn. It’s really easy with a few pointers.
What if I don’t know anybody? Then all the friends you make will be new friends!
