Creative Photo Academy

PAUL’S PHOTO is proud to announce the founding of the Creative Photo Academy by PAUL’S PHOTO and the first of our new CLiQ Academy Certified courses! Students completing specified courses will now have the opportunity to earn Creative Photo Academy Certificates of Completion in a number of levels and areas of study.

2012 will usher in new and more comprehensive educational offerings from Paul’s Photo. The beginning, intermediate and advanced titles will be replaced with a new course catalog and class descriptions organized in a more collegiate-style course numbering system intended to help guide our students in selecting the courses that best compliment their skill sets and interests.

The first offerings available are the new 400 level courses. The former “Advanced” classes will be offered monthly to allow you more time to practice, prepare and present. The course descriptions and application process are detailed below.

NOTE: All students – new and returning – must apply for admission to 420 & 440 courses and complete the application process. Class enrollment will be strictly limited to ensure optimal student-to-instructor ratio.

Printing for Perfection

Step-by-step to make amazing prints

Printing for Perfection will guide you to making the prints you have always desired… whether you print at home or use “the lab.” Printing for Perfection will focus on helping you “get the most” from your digital files by recognizing what is a good print. Printing for Perfection will teach you the rules and foster the skills required to produce amazing printed photographs. Printing for Perfection will inspire you to create “wall-hanging” art and encouraging you to share your images.

Printing for Perfection offers monthly discussion, informative lectures, challenging assignments and stimulating critiques. Perfection is not required, nor encouraged. Mistakes often lead us to deeper and more profound growth. We learn though experimentation, exploration, discussion and collaboration! Printing for Perfection is a journey of creativity and expression, with a group of dedicated photographers who share your passion! A sense of adventure, willingness to experiment, high resolution digital images and digital processing skills are required (Adobe Photoshop CS, Elements or Lightroom or Apple Aperture).

The Creative Photo Academy at Paul’s Photo is the “next generation” of classes at Paul’s Photo. All the sections are now CLiQ Academy Certified courses! Students completing Printing for Perfection will have the opportunity to earn a Creative Photo Academy Certificates of Completion.
